August Box Office Clash 2026: Many films are released every month, some of which become hits and some flop. The year 2026 is very special for the box office, because something explosive is going to happen in the future. The month of August is going to be the most special, because in this month, 4 big films are ready to hit the theaters within a single week. These films include films like ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’, ‘Eetha’, ‘One’ and ‘Toxic’. These four movies are coming to create havoc in theaters within the same week. On Raksha Bandhan weekend, not one, not two but four big films will be facing each other in theatres. This clash between Yash’s ‘Toxic’, Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘VVAN’, ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’ and ‘Itha’ is being considered as the biggest box office match of the year. In such a situation, crores of rupees will be at stake and everyone’s eyes are on which film will win at the box office.
There will be a collision with Toxic
The release date of this year’s most anticipated film ‘Toxic’ has finally been decided. After several postponements, Yash starrer ‘Toxic’ will hit the theaters on August 26. This film will be released on Wednesday so that it can get full benefit of Onam, Varamahalakshmi and Rakshabandhan. Rakshabandhan is falling on 28th August and in such a situation this film will have to clash with many other films coming on Rakshabandhan. Along with the release date, the makers also released its poster, in which Yash is seen in two different avatars of ‘Raya’ and ‘Ticket’. ‘Toxic’, directed by Geetu Mohandas, also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in important roles.
Khosla’s Nest 2
Before ‘Toxic’, the first film to book the slot of August 28 was ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’. Its makers had announced on March 13 that this comedy film would be released on August 28. Like the first part, its sequel also includes actors like Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Ranveer Shorey, Parveen Dabas, Tara Sharma. While ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ (2006) was directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the second part has been directed by Prashant Bhagiya.
siddharth malhotra’s forest
10 days after ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’, the makers of Siddharth Malhotra’s film announced that ‘One: Force of the Forest’ will also release on August 28. In this, Siddharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia are in lead roles. Made in collaboration with Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF, this film has been directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra. The comic book of this film was launched last month at Mumbai Comic Con 2026.
Shraddha Kapoor’s Itha
After this, on June 8, Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films announced that he will release ‘Eetha’ on August 28, 2026. In this, Shraddha Kapoor will be seen playing the role of famous Marathi tamasha artiste Vithabai Narayangaonkar. Directed by ‘Chhaava’ (2025) fame Laxman Utekar, this film also stars Randeep Hooda and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub.
