
There was a big explosion near the railway track in Quetta city of Pakistan, in which 23 people died, while 47 people are said to be injured. The explosion was so strong that there was chaos in the area. The injured have been admitted to hospitals. Emergency has been declared in government hospitals. A train derailed due to the explosion. According to reports, the train was going towards Quetta Cantt area when the explosion occurred on the railway line. After the blast, sounds of gunshots were also heard in the area, due to which fear spread among the people.
Balochistan government official Babar Yousafzai said that police, security forces and rescue teams immediately reached the spot. Police are now investigating how the blast occurred. At present no organization has taken responsibility for this attack. Balochistan is an important area of Pakistan, where violence and separatist activities have been going on for a long time. Many organizations here are fighting against the Pakistan government. They demand independence of Balochistan.
3 coaches of the train derailed
Railway officials said that the shuttle train coming from Quetta Cantt was targeted near Chaman Gate. In the blast, three coaches of the train including the engine derailed, while two coaches overturned. 10 vehicles parked in the parking lot were also damaged. The impact of the blast was so strong that glass and windows of nearby buildings were broken. The entire area has been surrounded and the rescue operation is going on. After the incident, as a precautionary measure, Peshawar-bound Jafar Express was stopped at Quetta railway station.
Railway Minister condemned the attack
Pakistan Railway Minister Mohammad Hanif Abbasi has strongly condemned this attack. He called it a cowardly terrorist attack and said that such attacks cannot weaken Pakistan’s courage against terrorism. Abbasi said that rescue trucks and relief trains were also sent to the spot to rescue the stranded passengers. The Railway Minister has asked for a report on this incident from the officials. He said that despite this attack, the functioning of Pakistan Railways will continue and train services will not be stopped.
