
The high profile Bankipur assembly seat of Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Naveen has become the hot seat of the country. This seat has become vacant after Nitin Naveen went to Rajya Sabha and now by-election is going to be held here on July 30. This seat has been a traditional seat of the BJP and this by-election on this seat is not just an election to elect an MLA, but has become a question of the credibility of the National President of the BJP i.e. the prestige of the BJP at the national level.

After the death of Naveen Kishore Singh in 2005, Nitin Naveen came into politics and in the by-election held on this seat in 2006, he became MLA for the first time by winning from Bankipur seat. Since then, Nitin Naveen has been the MLA from here continuously. Now BJP is trying its best to save this seat and the prestige of the national president.
