Congress has targeted the government on the issue of “rapid decline in savings and inflation”. Congress said that BJP is busy in “buying” leaders from other parties, while it has become difficult for the common man to even buy essential items. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that common families were ruining under the burden of the Modi government’s “poor management of the economy”. In a social media post, Kharge said that due to inflation, savings are decreasing rapidly. Things have become expensive, expectations have been dashed, inequality has increased, credibility in the world has fallen and there is immense anger among the youth. The Congress chief said, “Families are being ruined under the burden of the Modi government’s mismanagement of the economy.”
Kharge said, “Retail inflation is at the highest level in 16 months. Food inflation is 4.78%, tomatoes are missing from the plate. Medical inflation is more than 15%. Rupee is falling rapidly. Foreign investors are turning away from us. There are no jobs for the youth, unemployment is increasing.”
Rapidly depleting savings due to high inflation,
Unaffordability, betrayal of aspirations, inequality, fall in global credibility, youth anger galore!
Households perish under the weight of Modi Govt’s mismanagement of the economy!

‘We have to keep an eye on the inflation trend’
RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra has warned that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will have to keep an eye on the inflation trend, especially in view of the change in fuel prices in May. He said, “We need to keep an eye on the inflation trend. Going forward, changes in retail prices of petrol and diesel in May may increase fuel-related inflation in the coming months.”
Amid oil supply disruptions and continued tensions due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz due to the US-Iran war, the central government increased petrol prices thrice in a month.
