Amrish Puri did films like Hindustan Ki Kasam, Salakhen, Jaani Dushman, Sawan Ko Aane Do, Aakrosh, Dostana, Coolie, Ardhsatya, Tamas, Mr. India, Ghayal, Saudagar, Damini and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. He told that to become a villain one does not need only fighting and action. In fact, even a person sitting in an office in a tie-coat can create fear as a villain just by his mind games. Amrish Puri's acting improved further in the 90s and he became a villain in many big films. The magic of his acting also reached Hollywood. The actor got an offer from Steven Spielberg. Steven wanted only Amrish Puri as the villain in the film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and was also a fan of his acting and even considered him as his favorite villain. He called Amrish for audition. But Amrish Puri said that he will not come to America for audition, if he has to audition then he should come to India. Later, Steven sent one of his teams to India and this is how Amrish Puri got his dangerous Hollywood role. After this film, Amrish Puri became an international villain.
