Big relief to students who appeared for NEET-UG 2026 paper, UP government made a big announcement

June 17, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Yogi Adityanath government has given a gift of 50 percent discount in the fares of Transport Corporation buses to the candidates appearing in the NEET-UP 2026 examination. This will provide great relief to the candidates reaching the examination centers from remote areas. In this regard, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has also issued necessary instructions, so that no candidate has to face inconvenience.

UPSRTC Managing Director Prabhu N. Singh said that instructions have been issued to all regional and assistant regional managers in this regard. He said that the bus operators will take a copy of his admit card from each candidate and on the basis of the same, tickets will be issued at 50 percent concessional rate.

Candidates will be given child tickets

After verifying the admit card, the conductor will issue child tickets to the candidates through Electronic Ticket Issuing Machine (ETIM). They will also ensure that the photo and examination date mentioned on the admit card is correct and that he/she is traveling within the prescribed period.

Complete details of the candidate will have to be kept for future reference.

Managing Director Prabhu N. Singh said that the conductor will enter the name of the candidate, roll number, journey route and other necessary details including the ticket amount on the back of the waybill. Apart from this, a photocopy of the admit card will be kept safe so that it can be used in future if required.

He has also given instructions that if in any unavoidable situation, 50 percent concessional ticket cannot be issued from the ETIM machine, then manual tickets can be issued after taking permission over phone from the depot in-charge or center in-charge. In such a situation, the operator will issue concessional tickets from the blank ticket book and will enter all the necessary details related to the journey on the route sheet.

New system will be applicable on 20th and 21st June

Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that the NEET UG-2026 exam will be conducted on June 21, 2026. Candidates participating in the examination will be provided travel facility at concessional rates in Transport Corporation buses on 20th June and 21st June 2026. For this, necessary instructions have been issued to Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.
