
TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee has got a big relief from Kolkata High Court. The court has given him interim relief in the FIR case registered against him for giving inflammatory speeches. During the hearing on Thursday, the court has directed that no punitive action should be taken against him by the police till July 31. Along with this, the court has also ordered that Banerjee cannot leave the country without the permission of the court.
The High Court also said that Banerjee will have to appear in the court personally every 48 hours after receiving the notice. This order has been given by Kolkata High Court Judge Saugato Bhattacharya. Banerjee had filed a petition demanding cancellation of the FIR. During the Bengal Assembly election campaign, he is accused of giving inflammatory speeches and threatening statements against Home Minister Amit Shah.

Let us tell you that during the assembly elections in Bengal, Abhishek Banerjee had given an inflammatory speech. An FIR was registered against him in this regard. Banerjee had threatened BJP and Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the election campaign.
After this, a person named Rajeev Sarkar lodged an FIR against him. According to the complaint, Abhishek had directly threatened Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders. He had said from the stage, I will see who comes to save him on May 4 (result day). Recently Abhishek Banerjee had reached Calcutta High Court to get the FIR against him cancelled.
