
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan spoke to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding the problems being faced in the payment system of CBSE. Students were facing payment failures, double payments and technical problems during re-evaluation and post-result services. Now a decision has been taken to completely strengthen the payment gateway system of CBSE.
According to the Education Ministry, four government banks will help CBSE. These banks are State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and Indian Bank. These banks will strengthen the payment system and integration of CBSE portal.

Payment gateway system will be completely overhauled
The Education Minister has instructed CBSE to complete overhaul of the payment gateway system. The government says that due to the joint efforts of the Finance Ministry, banks and CBSE, students will no longer face problems.
This help is expected to strengthen the digital payment infrastructure used by the students applying for re-evaluation, verification of marks and other post-result services.
Focus on payment errors and refunds
The banks will assist CBSE in introducing robust payment protocols to ensure timely processing of payments and reduce transaction failures. With these measures, payment related errors will also be rectified and if students make excess payment, they will be able to get automatic refund.
Recently, students had reported difficulties in accessing post-result services, including problems related to payment on the portal.
Dharmendra Pradhan directed CBSE to completely overhaul its payment gateway system to make it reliable and reduce problems.
Students will get secure refund and re-evaluation
The move comes after the ministry had asked technical experts from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur to help CBSE in improving the portal performance and strengthening the IT system. The Education Ministry said that this effort made jointly by the Finance Ministry and Public Sector Banks will make digital transactions easier and the stability of payment gateways will improve.
The purpose of these changes is to simplify the re-evaluation and post-result process for students using CBSE services after the results of the board exams.
Every year, thousands of CBSE students apply for services like photocopy of answer sheet, marks verification and re-evaluation. Payment failure or technical difficulties during these processes may impact applications submitted within the stipulated deadline. The aim of this new step is to reduce such problems and improve the overall experience for students and parents.
