Big news: Suryakumar Yadav may return to Team India, career is not over

July 13, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Suryakumar Yadav was dropped from the T20 team after winning the T20 World Cup 2026. As a captain, he performed brilliantly but after becoming the world champion, he was not considered worthy of the team, however now the news is coming that Suryakumar’s international career is not over yet. Suryakumar Yadav can still make a comeback in Team India. If reports are to be believed, if Suryakumar Yadav performs well in domestic cricket, he will get a place in Team India again.

How will Suryakumar Yadav return?

Suryakumar Yadav The only way for him to make a comeback is to perform well in domestic cricket. If this player performs well in Vijay Hazare, Syed Mushtaq and other T20 tournaments, then the selectors of Team India will give him a chance to make a comeback. According to ANI, such news has come to light quoting Team India sources. Let us tell you that after the departure of Suryakumar Yadav, the condition of Team India is bad and it has lost the T20 series with Ireland and England.

Team India is in bad shape as soon as Shreyas Iyer becomes captain

After the removal of Suryakumar Yadav, Team India’s T20 captaincy was given to Shreyas Iyer. However, this decision did not prove to be correct as Team India lost the T20 series to Ireland for the first time and also lost to England. The big thing is that the team did not win a single match from both Ireland and England. Ireland won the T20 series 2-0 and England defeated India 4-0. This defeat could have been 5-0 but the first T20 match was washed out due to rain. Shreyas Iyer is the first captain of India who has not been able to win a single win in the first 7 T20 matches.

Now there will be a competition with Zimbabwe

Team India now has to play the next T20 series against Zimbabwe. This three-match series will be played in Harare. The first match will be held on 23 July, the second T20 on 25 July and the third T20 on 26 July. Zimbabwe’s pitch is also very bouncy, so it should not be surprising if Team India faces problems there too.
