Big Cricket League 2026: Shikhar Dhawan’s UP Stars enter semi-finals, won all the matches, two teams still empty handed

The action of IPL 2026 is completely over but some of the best T20 cricketers from around the world are still showing their mettle. This fierce competition is being seen in the new season of Big Cricket League (BCL 2026) going on in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in which former superstars of international cricket like Shikhar Dhawan, Ross Taylor, Chris Gayle and many unknown players of domestic cricket are coming together to entertain the fans. But when it comes to the competition, UP Brij Stars, captained by Dhawan, continues to shine, which has qualified for the semi-finals by winning all four of its matches.

The new season of BCL 2026 started within 3 days of the end of the IPL season. The competition between the six teams of the tournament started from Wednesday, June 3. This time too, UP Brij Stars, Southern Spartans, Gujarat Diamonds, Mumbai Marines, Northern Challengers and MP Tigers are participating in the tournament, who are being commanded by different veteran players.

Within the first 6 days of the tournament, 9 matches have been played and UP Stars have emerged as the strongest team. This team has played 4 out of 5 matches and has won all four and collected 8 points. In this way, under the captaincy of Dhawan, UP has made it to the semi-finals for the first time.

There is a tough competition going on between Southern Spartans, Gujarat Diamonds and Mumbai Marines for the remaining 3 spots in the semi-finals. Spartans and Gujarat have played 3-3 matches and both have won 2-2. In such a situation, the points of both are equal. But due to better net run rate, Spartans are in second place and Gujarat is in third place. Whereas Mumbai has 2 points in 3 matches and is in fourth place.

These 2 teams did not win

But this time the journey of Northern Challengers and MP Tigers has not been good so far in the tournament. Both these teams have got only defeat. While the Challengers have lost all three matches, the Tigers have lost both the matches. In such a situation, the account of both these teams has not been opened and they are in fifth and sixth position.

There are still 6 matches left before the semi-finals. In this situation the race is not over. Both the semi-final matches will be played on June 12, while the final will be held on June 13. All these matches are being played at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground and the champion of this season will also be decided there.
