Gvir wanted to go to Miami, USA to attend a family event, but due to not getting visa clearance from the US Embassy, he has canceled his trip. According to the report, on Monday Gvir contacted the US Embassy in Tel Aviv for a visa. On this the embassy officials asked him to come to their office personally. The embassy said that many criminal cases were registered against you. You will have to come here and give biometric data.
When Ben Gvir refused to appear in person at the embassy and provide biometric data, the US Embassy decided not to grant him a visa, following which Israel’s Defense Minister canceled his visit.
This happened for the first time with an Israeli minister
According to the Jerusalem Post, this is the first time that the US Embassy has behaved like this with an Israeli minister. Usually, America gives special visas to Israeli ministers, so that they do not face any difficulty in traveling.
However, Israeli media has described this treatment of Gvir as unusual. Israel Foreign Ministry has not made any official comment on this.
