
After the change of government in West Bengal, the state government is continuously taking action against the criminals along with improving the law and order. Meanwhile, the Special Task Force has achieved great success. Based on intelligence, Bengal STF conducted raids in many areas of North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas districts. During this period, a large quantity of illegal weapons and cartridges have been recovered.
According to the information, based on intelligence input, the STF team conducted a massive search operation simultaneously in Sarberia Bazaar, Basanti and Sandeshkhali areas of Kumarakhali. Basirhat Police District Force and local police cooperated in this joint operation. It is being told that a huge quantity of illegal guns, pistols and cartridges have been recovered from these locations, which were kept hidden.
Investigation agency engaged in locating the network
It is believed that these weapons were kept hidden with the aim of disturbing the peace of the area and carrying out violent incidents. The investigating agency is trying to find out where these weapons were to be used, as well as which big network is working behind this entire syndicate.
CM officer praised the police
On this big success, West Bengal Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari has praised the promptness of the state police. He has shared a post on social media. In which he said, ‘Hearty congratulations to West Bengal Police for this big success. Based on accurate intelligence, the Special Task Force (STF) conducted extensive raids at several places near Sarberia Market in Kumarakhali, Basanti and Sandeshkhali areas.’

Illegal arms and ammunition seized
CM said that STF has successfully seized a huge cache of illegal arms and ammunition hidden for the purpose of disturbing peace. He said that he appreciates the prompt action and coordination of the DGP, West Bengal Police, STF team and Basirhat Police District personnel for this successful operation.
Targeted at former regime
Further, taking aim at the previous system of the state, Shubhendu Adhikari said that during the previous regime, such illegal weapons were collected and used to scare the common citizens. He said that this culture of violence took the lives of many opposition party workers, especially dedicated BJP workers who stood up against atrocities.

CM said that ‘those dark days are over now. Our government is fully committed to restoring law and order. We will continue our efforts to locate and recover every piece of illegal weapons in every corner of West Bengal. Criminal activities and political terrorism will be completely eliminated from our state. Peace, security and democracy will be established in Bengal.
