The film made so many records that hundreds of films were released in this 2 decades but till now no one has been able to break the record of this Bhojpuri movie. However, Manoj Tiwari said that he still regrets that despite being so successful, no award was given to this film. His opposite actress Rani Chatterjee was seen in Sasura Bada Paisawala.

Talking about Sasura Bada Paisawala, it was directed by Ajay Sinha and Vinay Bihari had written the songs of the film. Apart from this, Sudhakar Pandey was the producer of this film. There were a total of 11 songs in the film and the special thing was that some of these songs were sung together by Shreya Ghoshal and Udit Narayan. It is said that this film was in theaters for more than 4 months. Seeing the success of this film, the makers also made a sequel in the year 2020 named Sasura Bada Paisawala 2.
