Pune Bhimashankar Darshan: There is a famous Bhimashankar temple near Pune, Maharashtra. Here is the 6th Jyotirlinga out of 12. The temple was closed for the last five months due to renovation. Now this temple is going to reopen for the devotees. The doors of the temple will open from June 15, for which Shiva devotees were waiting for a long time, which has ended even before the month of Sawan. However, some new rules have been made regarding the opening of the temple.

First let us know why the temple was closed? In fact, in view of the preparations for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela, extensive development work is going on at major pilgrimage sites in the state around Trimbakeshwar Temple. In this context, Bhimashankar temple was temporarily closed from January this year to avoid inconvenience to the devotees and to improve the security standards.

Online registration started for darshan in Bhimashankar temple

With the completion of the ongoing development works in the temple, darshan for devotees will start from June 15. Temple officials said that the online registration process required for darshan has started from June 5. Devotees are advised to book their slots in advance and be present for darshan.

Better facilities for devotees in Bhimashankar temple

Many infrastructure facilities have been developed in the temple complex in the last five months. Along with widening the roads, security arrangements have also been strengthened for the convenience of the devotees. Special arrangements have also been made for the elderly and disabled people so that they can visit comfortably.

Every year lakhs of devotees come to Bhimashankar temple for darshan. This number increases especially during festivals. In this context, officials said that these development works have been done keeping in mind the crowd management, security and facilities of the devotees. At the same time, devotees visiting this temple located on the hill are advised to get information about the weather in advance.

Special rules for darshan in Bhimashankar temple

If you are planning to visit Bhimashankar temple then it is important to know the rules first because the temple administration has made some changes so that the devotees do not have to face any kind of problems.

  • Now only 1000 devotees will be able to have darshan of Bholenath in a day.
  • Darshan can be done from 7 am.
  • The doors of the temple will be closed at 11 am.
  • It is mandatory to show valid ID card while entering the temple. Without this, darshan will not be possible.

How to reach Bhimashankar Temple?

  • Pune Junction Railway Station: Distance of about 125 km
  • Karjat Railway Station: About 106 km. distance
  • State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses, private taxis and cab services are available from Pune.
