
The Supreme Court has rejected the demand for a CBI investigation into the encounter case of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari of Bihar. The Supreme Court has advised the petitioner to approach the High Court. The vacation bench of Justice MM Sundaresh and Justice Sheel Nagu has given the order. The application was filed by Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Tiwari. The petition demanded a CBI investigation into the entire matter and action against the guilty policemen.
Petitioner and advocate Vishal Tiwari said that the police action was illegal. Earlier too, such cases have happened in many states, petitions related to which are pending here. The Supreme Court said to go to the High Court. Through the petition in the court, it has been said that in such cases, independent and impartial investigation is necessary to protect the rule of law and the fundamental rights of the people. It was also requested in the petition that this entire matter should be investigated under the supervision of an independent expert committee constituted under the chairmanship of a retired judge of the Supreme Court.
