Bharat Bhagya Viddhaata Review In Hindi: For our country and especially for Mumbai, 26 November 2008 is not just a date, but it is a never-healing wound, the pain of which still keeps rising in the heart of every Mumbaikar. Those echoes of gunshots, those screams and that mourning of losing our loved ones… even after years have passed, this wound still remains as a canker in our hearts. Whenever a film or web series comes on this subject, even before watching it, the audience’s eyes become moist and heart becomes heavy by remembering that incident.
Till now we have watched many movies and web series on 26/11. In some, the bravery of brave soldiers and policemen was shown, in some, doctors were seen becoming gods, we also heard stories of bravery of the Taj Hotel staff. But the soldiers who provide security of Cama Hospital, their support staff and the nurses who share the pain of the patients before the doctors, were never revealed openly. In every film, they were shown in a ‘touch and go’ manner and were left out. But this time under the banner of Manikarnika Films, Kangana Ranaut has shown the courage which the big names of Bollywood could not show. As a producer and actor, Kangana has kept the entire focus on those brave nurses of Cama Hospital, who on that dark night stood as a wall between Yamraj and about 300 people hiding in the hospital along with the patients.

Know what is the story of ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’
The story of the film begins with Geeta Madhav Gandhare (Kangana Ranaut), who has come straight to the police station, this nurse from Cama Hospital has to identify the terrorist who had entered the hospital with his partner. Then Geeta takes us to the flashback, from where this story started. These nurses of the government hospital named Cama located in Fort are ordinary Maharashtrian women living in Mumbai, whose lives are moving forward with their own small daily battles.
The film shows very clearly what these nurses often have to face in the hospital world. Despite having years of experience, sometimes the ego of the doctors and sometimes the insult of the patients, all these are a part of their life, which they bear with a smile. The first half of the film weaves this fabric. Here they are not just robots wearing white aprons, but women of flesh and blood who balance family, friendship and gossip very well along with duty. Amidst the laughter and leg-pulling between them, you also forget for some time what storm is going to come next and at the same time comes that dreadful night of 26/11.
When Kasab and his associates enter Cama Hospital spraying bullets. What did these women do that night when there were very few big doctors and the entire hospital was dependent only on the support staff? How without weapons he saved the lives of patients and newborn children with just his courage, this is the real thrill and heart-wrenching truth of this film.

Know how the film is?
‘india destiny makerThe biggest quality of ‘ is that it does not serve forced melodrama to make you cry. Director Manoj Tapadia has kept the film very well-balanced instead of making it ‘Bollywoodia Rona-Dhona’. There are no heavy and hollow patriotic dialogues in the film, rather the actions of the characters speak for themselves. Yes, your old wounds definitely become fresh while watching the film, but this time you feel more pride than fear.
When the second half starts, the film suddenly turns into a gripping thriller. That fear, that silence and the tension running on the screen… and amidst all this, the spine-tingling background music does not let you move from the theater seat. Some scenes are so powerful and hair-raising that there is complete silence in the hall.
Direction and writing
Overall Manoj Tapadia has achieved a wonderful balance as a writer and director. Often the makers get carried away in such sensitive stories and in the pursuit of adding commercial flavor, they leave the real heroes behind. But Manoj did not let the focus of his story waver at all. His writing is realistic. The atmosphere he has created inside the hospital seems absolutely real. The aspect of nurses which was till now buried in the pages of history, has been brought on screen with great honesty and respect. For this he deserves full praise.
Know how the actors are acting
Now let’s talk about performance. Whatever people say about Kangana Ranaut, but when she comes in front of the camera, she leaves even the good ones behind. This is Kangana’s most mature and heart touching performance in recent times. Instead of being loud, he has presented his character to us in a very balanced manner, fear is visible in his eyes and also the spirit of risking one’s life for one’s duty.

Along with Kangana, the real life of this film is its supporting star cast, which mostly consists of experienced faces of Marathi cinema. Girija Oak Godbole, Isha Dey, Rasika Agashe and Smita Tambe have added charm to the film with their performances. Whereas Prasad Oak, as Kangana’s husband, has played a small but very sweet character so beautifully that he touches your heart. The entire cast has not acted, but has lived that pain and bravery on screen.
see or not
Overall, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’ is a very honest, heart-touching and an essential film. This is a salute to such heroes whom we had forgotten with time. This film reminds us that sometimes the greatest heroes do their work quietly, in white uniforms, without any fanfare and without any expectation of anything in return. The wound of 26/11 will probably never heal, but this film is such a proof of the spirit of the nurses who lit the lamp of hope in that dark night, which every Indian should watch. While coming out of the theater after watching this film, your eyes may be moist, but your chest will swell with pride.
