
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Kukru, the famous hill station of Betul, on Saturday for a two-day stay. Here he observed the livelihood activities conducted by the women of Krishna Livelihood Self-Help Group. He tasted the mawa and rabri prepared by the group and had a cordial conversation with the women and appreciated their work.
He took information from the women about the group’s activities, sources of income and support received from government schemes and encouraged them for the efforts being made towards self-reliance. Apart from this, he also saw Sipana Sunset Point from Kukru. They got lost in the natural environment here.
CM saw the process of making mawa
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Saw the process of making Mawa available in the shop and discussed with the women the efforts being made towards self-reliance. On this occasion, Shobha Gayane, President of Krishna Livelihood Self-Help Group Kukru, said that the group has received financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh from CCL, Rs 1 lakh from CIF, Rs 11 thousand from RF and Rs 40 thousand under PMFME scheme under various schemes.

Construction of Mawa, Rabri and Shrikhand
He told that 11 members are working in the group. An automatic machine for making mawa was purchased from the Livelihood Mission. From this he is getting a monthly income of about Rs 25 thousand. The women members of the group told the Chief Minister that along with animal husbandry, milk production, manufacturing of Mawa, Rabri and Shrikhand, they are also doing agricultural work. Through these activities, the women of the group are getting a monthly income of about Rs 15 to 18 thousand. Due to which they are becoming financially empowered.
Saw the delightful mountain ranges of Kukru
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also visited Kukru. During this time, he reached Sipna Sunset Point in Kukru and observed the beautiful and supernatural view of the sunset and enjoyed the unique natural beauty of the area. He appeared overwhelmed by the beautiful mountain ranges, green forests and natural environment of Kukru. He said that Kukru has immense potential to develop into a major tourist destination of the state.
He gave necessary directions to the concerned authorities to promote tourism activities in the area and to conserve and promote natural heritage. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Kukru, rich in natural resources, will not only attract tourists but will also create new employment and livelihood opportunities for the local people.
