Munnar of Kerala is the best place to visit during monsoon. The views here take you to another world. Here one can enjoy heavy rains from June to September. Here, during light to moderate rains, the cloud covered valleys and waterfalls are worth seeing. This can prove to be a perfect destination for nature lovers. 


Coorg in Karnataka also offers amazing views during the rainy season. It is also called 'Scotland of India'. You can enjoy monsoon here from June till October. Coorg is covered with a blanket of greenery during monsoon. Here coffee plantations, waterfalls and cool breeze further double the fun of the season. The calm atmosphere here is perfect for giving peace to the mind during the rains. 
Valley of Flowers, which is opened before the monsoon. This valley has been opened for tourists from June 1. Now if you want to enjoy the rain then you can explore this place in July. Here you will get to see many varieties of flowers. The view here is considered most beautiful in July and August. For lovers of trekking and nature photography, this place is no less than heaven. 

Visiting Meghalaya during monsoon is an adventure in itself. It starts raining here from May itself and every day a beautiful sight of heavy rain is seen. This is the reason why Meghalaya is counted among the most rainy states of India. The lush green hills, lakes and waterfalls here offer amazing views during monsoon. This place is completely surrounded by clouds during the rains, which is no less than a dream to see. 
If you live in Maharashtra and want to enjoy the rains then there is nothing better than Lonavala. It rains heavily from June to September and the weather becomes very romantic. As soon as the rains start, the hills, waterfalls and valleys here come alive. This is a great option for a weekend getaway.
