Tulsi’s two sons, Karan and Gautam (Gomazi), are now pitted against each other. The character of ‘Karan’ played by Hiten Tejwani is in deep shock and confusion due to Tulsi’s return. Talking about the current track of the serial, Hiten Tejwani said that there is no place for you in Shantiniketan now… I think this is the harshest and bitterest thing that Karan has ever said to his Tulsi mother. Karan had never imagined even in his dreams that he would have to tell this to his mother. When Tulsi Maa returns from jail after 10 years, she gets the biggest shock of her life. This is going to be the most emotional chapter of the show’s journey so far.
The story of a son’s heartbreak
Hiten Tejwani further said that Tulsi Maa has always been a symbol of trust and respect for Karan. But his return has forced Karan to face the emotions from which he was running away till now. Hiten says that this track is not just about Karan’s anger against Tulsi Maa, but it is the story of a son who is struggling with heartbreak, disappointment and unresolved questions. This is what makes it very emotional and relatable for the audience.
Now that Karan and Gomji have come face to face over Tulsi’s place in the Virani family, it will be interesting to see whether Tulsi will once again be able to bring together her disintegrating ‘Santiniketan’ or not.
