
DK Shivakumar, who was the Deputy CM of Karnataka, has now become the Chief Minister of the state. He took oath as the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka on Wednesday. During this, Shivkumar was seen on the stage barefoot and holding a copy of the Constitution in his hand. Before the oath taking ceremony, DK Shivkumar met all the leaders present on the stage one by one and welcomed them with a bouquet. After this, after offering flowers on the photo of Mother Saraswati, he went straight to take the oath.
Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath of office to DK Shivkumar as Chief Minister. At the same time, apart from Congress President Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan Manch were present at the swearing-in ceremony of DK Shivakumar. Senior Congress leaders from other states were also seen on this platform of DK.
During this, DK Shivkumar met all the leaders present on the stage. Meanwhile, DK was also seen talking to Congress President Kharge and Rahul Gandhi for some time. After DK Shivkumar, Governor Thawarchand Gehlot appointed G. Administered the oath of office to Parameshwara as Deputy Chief Minister.
DK Shivkumar’s dream of becoming Chief Minister fulfilled
DK Shivakumar has been in politics for a long time. Shivkumar, who has been an MLA eight times, was trying to reach the highest chair of the state for a long time. DK Shivkumar was dreaming of becoming Chief Minister for the last many years. As soon as he took oath as the Chief Minister on Wednesday i.e. 3 May 2026, his old political dream was fulfilled.
There was a tussle going on between Shivkumar and Siddaramaiah for a long time.
At the same time, there was a long-running tussle over leadership in Karnataka politics between Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah. This chapter ended when Siddaramaiah resigned from the post of Chief Minister on May 28 on the instructions of the Congress high command. It is said that Siddaramaiah was not ready to resign. After several meetings with the Congress high command, Siddaramaiah agreed to resign.
According to sources, Siddaramaiah was also offered to go to Rajya Sabha, but he refused. Meanwhile, reports of rift between DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah came to light. But Siddaramaiah’s presence at the swearing-in ceremony proved it wrong.
