By doing this one gets his blessings. In Hindu religion, the banyan tree is considered very sacred, but at the time of worship, the leaves of the banyan tree are not offered to some deities. Let us know to which gods and goddesses it is prohibited to offer banyan leaves.

Lord Vishnu and his incarnations

Tulsi Dal or Tulsi leaves are always used as offering in the worship of Lord Vishnu. Banyan is considered a symbol of renunciation. Offering banyan leaf to Lord Vishnu is prohibited. Banyan is considered to be the abode of Vishnu. It is said that God resides in it. In such a situation, one should not pluck leaves from the place where Lord Vishnu resides and offer them to God. That is why offering banyan leaves to Lord Vishnu is prohibited.

Lord Shiva is very fond of Belpatra, Dhatura, Bhang etc. Therefore, these things are offered to Shiva during worship. Lord Shiva also resides in the banyan tree. In such a situation, offering this leaf on Shivling is prohibited. According to Hindu beliefs, offering a banyan leaf on Shivling causes evil.

Mata Lakshmi

The house where Goddess Lakshmi resides, there resides wealth and opulence. Mother Lakshmi is fickle. On the contrary, the banyan tree is stable and is considered a symbol of renunciation along with salvation. In such a situation, it is completely prohibited to keep or climb the banyan tree during the worship of Goddess Lakshmi.

Lord Ganesha

Lord Ganesha is the god of intelligence. He is considered a destroyer of obstacles. Lord Ganesha is worshiped first. Durva is offered in the worship of Lord Ganesha. Things related to renunciation are not offered in his worship. Therefore, offering banyan leaves in Ganesh worship is prohibited.

Offer banyan leaves to these gods

Banyan leaves are used in the worship of Shani Dev, in the worship of Hanuman ji, in the worship of Peepal tree, in the worship of Vat Savitri Vrat and in tantric remedies.
