
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken a big decision for the farmers of the state. Chief Minister Mann has made historic changes in the 26 year old KCC system. He has increased the loan limit for wheat crop. The loan limit has been increased to Rs 1 lakh per acre. A separate provision of Rs 2,000 per acre has been made in KCC. Meanwhile, sugarcane farmers have also got great relief.

He also said that photographs of farmers should not be included in the list of defaulters, so that farmers do not commit suicide. He also claimed that due to the efforts of the government, farmer suicides have reduced and a study has also been conducted to prove this.
Loan limit increased for wheat crop
The Chief Minister has announced that the crop loan limit for farmers has been increased. Earlier, loan up to Rs 24,380 per acre was available for wheat crop, which has now been increased to Rs 30,000 per acre. He said that earlier there was no separate loan facility for stubble management, but now farmers will be able to get additional Rs 2,000 per acre for stubble management.
Loan limit increased to Rs 1 lakh for sugarcane farmers
Chief Minister Mann has given big relief to the sugarcane farmers of Punjab. Earlier the limit of sugarcane crop loan was Rs 44,000 per acre, which has now been increased to Rs 1 lakh per acre. After this announcement, there is a wave of happiness among the sugarcane farmers of Punjab.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that earlier due to lack of credit facilities for many crops, farmers had to resort to various methods to get loans. Due to which he had to face a lot of difficulties. He further said that the government has now issued strict instructions to private banks to avoid actions like confiscating the properties of farmers and consider other options for recovery of outstanding amounts.
The Chief Minister said that raids and seizures on farmers’ homes or establishments have a negative impact on the society. Therefore, the government is emphasizing the need to handle such cases sensitively while protecting the interests of farmers.
