Bandar: CBFC’s scissors on abuses, many dialogues changed in Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ before release.

Bobby Deol Bandar Timeline: Bobby Deol’s much awaited film ‘Bandar’ is releasing in theaters on 5th June. This crime thriller film has been directed by Anurag Kashyap. Recently, when its trailer was released, it created a stir on social media. Its song ‘Come on Baby’ has also been trending on the internet for a long time. The censoring process of ‘Bandar’ was completed last week. The Censor Board has given it an A certificate. Along with this, CBFC has also made many cuts in the film. Monkey got certificate from CBFC

Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ has got approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). CBFC has passed this movie with ‘A’ certificate. The special thing is that despite the theme of the film, the Examining Committee (EC) of CBFC has not demanded any visual cuts. However, several changes were made to the dialogues, most of which included profanities used in the film.

Censor board muted abuses

The word ‘b*****d’ was asked to be removed from the film, while an abusive language was asked to be muted. Three more abuses were also muted from the film. The Censor Board has also made changes in the dialogue ‘Kitna Bhi Sindoor’. Ultimately the makers submitted documentary evidence, which stated that the film story was inspired by true events. Besides, consent letters were also collected from celebrities for using their names in the film.

After these changes, ‘Bandar’ was given censor certificate on 30 May. The length of the film mentioned on the censor certificate is 130.27 minutes i.e. ‘Bandar’ is 2 hours, 10 minutes and 27 seconds long. Apart from Bobby Deol, ‘Bandar’ includes actors like Sapna Pabbi, Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, Indrajit Sukumaran and Jitendra Joshi.
