Balti: ‘Balti’ released on OTT after 9 months, became number-1 as soon as it arrived, released in 5 languages

Balti Movie OTT: Usually, most films are streamed on OTT after 8 weeks of their release in theatres. However, last year, a film came to the theaters, which after the completion of its theatrical run, there was only waiting for it to come on OTT. After about 9 and a half months, now that film has hit OTT. The name of the picture is ‘Balti’, which is a Malayalam language action-crime film. The makers have also added a touch of comedy to it.

Made under the direction of Unni Sivalingam, this film was released on the big screen in Malayalam as well as Tamil language on 26 September 2025. However, this picture could not do much at the box office. The film also received mixed reviews from critics. Now this film on 10th July OTT Released on the platform Sony Liv. And as soon as it was released, it became the number 1 content on Sony Liv.

What is the story of ‘Balti’?

‘Balti’ depicts the story of four friends who are experts in the game of Kabaddi. However, after an incident his life goes in a different direction. Those four friends take to the path of crime. Shane Nigam, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Preeti Asrani, Alphonse Puthren, K. Selvaraghavan, Purnima Indrajith are seen in important roles in it. The budget of this film was approximately Rs 21 crores. According to Saknilk, this picture had made a gross collection of only Rs 9.82 crore.
