Carrie Barker’s ‘Obsession’ was released in theaters on May 15 and has earned Rs 1405 crore so far. On the other hand, the recent release ‘Backrooms’ has crossed the figure of Rs 1000 crore in just 3 days. The success of this film also gave a new identity to the horror genre. But now 20 year old Ken Parsons’ ‘Backrooms’ has surprised everyone in terms of its earning speed. The film received a tremendous response from the very first day of its release and within no time it has earned Rs 1119 crore worldwide. The special thing is that the budget of this film is only 8.3 crores.

However, the tremendous success of Ken Parsons’s ‘Backrooms’, which was released in theaters on May 29, did not harm ‘Obsession’ at all. Even after three weeks of release, the earnings of ‘Obsession’ have not fallen below the earnings of its first week. There has been a 10% jump in its earnings this week. Meanwhile, if we talk about backrooms, people flocked to theaters across the world this weekend, because it earned a whopping $81.5 million in its first three days in North America alone.
