Emraan hashmi avatar: Emraan Hashmi is in the news these days because of his next film ‘Awarapan 2’. His film is going to be released in theaters on 14th August. But before that, the makers are going to release the first part of this film i.e. ‘Awarapan’ once again on the big screen. ‘Awarapan’ is coming to theaters again on 31st July. But the path for this film is not going to be easy. This is because on July 30, the Hollywood film ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is also going to hit the big screen.
Bollywood Hungama quoted a source in one of its reports as saying, “Awarapan will be re-released on July 31. This film is always remembered because of its casting, subject and emotional and massy moments, especially its powerful music. Hence, the decision has been taken to bring it in theaters before the release of ‘Awarapan 2’.”
The source said, “It will clash with Hollywood film ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, which is hitting the theaters in India on July 30. Spider-Man will get a bigger opening, but don’t be surprised if Awarapan attracts the audience on re-release.
How much did ‘Awarapan’ earn in 2007?
Emraan Hashmi And when Shriya Saran starrer ‘Awarapan’ was released in theaters in 2007, it proved to be a flop. The film did a business of Rs 7.76 crore at the domestic box office. Worldwide the film had collected Rs 12.18 crore. However, this film gradually got the status of cult film through TV, home video and OTT. This is the reason why the makers are bringing its part 2.
Who is in ‘Awarapan 2’?
‘Awarapan’ was directed by Mohit Suri. Now Nitin Kakkar is directing its second part. This time Disha Pati is going to be seen with Emraan Hashmi in the film. Shabana Azmi is also going to be seen in an important role in the film.
