Regarding Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory for those Indian citizens who are going on the journey through private tour operators. In a statement issued on Saturday, the ministry said it has received requests for help from several Indian nationals who are stuck in Nepal without the required entry permits and visas for China while traveling through private tour operators.
The ministry said that citizens are advised not to commence their journey from India until all necessary travel documents are obtained. Starting a journey without confirmed documents or in the hope of getting the necessary documents increases the risk of getting stuck.
Choose only authorized tour operators
The statement also said that travelers are strongly advised to ensure that their tour operator is properly registered and authorized. About 52 Indian citizens going to Kailash Mansarovar are currently stranded in Kathmandu, Nepal and are seeking immediate help for their further safe journey.
