Asus has returned to the tablet segment after many years and introduced its new Asus Pad at Computex 2026. This tablet comes with powerful features like 12.2 inch 2.8K OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor and 9000mAh battery. The company has also given the latest Android 16 and many AI based features in it. The company says that the new Asus Pad has been designed keeping in mind those users who want a premium tablet for entertainment, productivity and multitasking. At present, information about its sale and price has not been revealed.
OLED display and powerful hardware
Asus Pad has a 12.2-inch 2.8K dual layer OLED display, whose resolution is 2800×1840 pixels. It comes with 144Hz refresh rate and 3:2 aspect ratio. According to the company, the display covers 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and offers up to 600 nits of brightness. Apart from this, it has also received TÜV Rhineland certification for low blue light and flicker free performance. For performance, it has MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, 8GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. With the help of microSD card, storage can be increased up to 1TB.
With Android 16 and AI features
The new Asus Pad runs on Android 16. AI based features like Google Gemini and Circle to Search are available in the tablet. Apart from this, with the help of Asus GlideX feature, users can do screen sharing and file transfer between different devices. For security, face login support is also provided in it. For photography, the tablet has a 5 megapixel front camera and 13 megapixel rear camera. To improve the audio experience, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support have been provided.
Large battery and premium design
Asus Pad has a large battery of 9000mAh, which supports 45W fast charging. The company claims that this battery can be charged up to 50 percent in about 30 minutes. For connectivity, it has support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Talking about the design, magnesium chassis and fiberglass rear panel has been used in the tablet, due to which it is strong but also remains light. Its weight is 523 grams and thickness is only 6.5mm. The company also provides Asus Pen 2.0 stylus and Bluetooth keyboard support.
