In Hindu religion, most of the fasts and festivals are celebrated according to Udaya Tithi. Therefore, this year Ashadh Amavasya will be celebrated on Tuesday, 14th July 2026.
Do these measures to remove Pitra Dosh
- On the day of Ashadh Amavasya, after taking bath in the morning, wear clean clothes and offer water to the Sun God. After this, offer tarpan while remembering your ancestors. If possible, it is considered auspicious to perform tarpan at a holy river, lake or pilgrimage site.
