Remedies for Ashadha Amavasya: In Sanatan Dharma, the date of Amavasya is considered very sacred. This date has been dedicated to the ancestors. Donate food and clothes: Donate food and clothes to a needy person on the day of Ashadh Amavasya. There is a religious belief that by doing this one gets the special blessings of the ancestors, which removes the ancestral defects and brings happiness and peace in the house.
Make the Swastika symbol: On the day of Amavasya, after bathing, make Swastika marks on both sides of the main entrance of the house with turmeric paste. By doing this the negative energy goes away. Also, Goddess Lakshmi enters the house, due to which financial difficulties go away.
Worship Lord Vishnu: On Amavasya day, take some soil from the Tulsi plant. Make a paste by mixing water in it. Then apply that paste on your body. After this take bath. After bathing, worship Lord Vishnu. It is believed that by doing this, paths to progress will soon open.
Remember the 12 names of Lord Vishnu: On the day of Amavasya, remember the 12 names of Lord Vishnu (Achyut, Anant, Damodar, Keshav, Narayan, Sridhar, Govind, Madhav, Hrishikesh, Trivikram, Padmanabha and Madhusudan) and offer yellow flowers to him. After this, in the evening, throw those flowers in the river or keep them under the Peepal tree. By doing this one gets relief from enemies.
