Army officer had proposed to his fiancee by wearing a ring in the passing out parade, now Army has asked for answers

June 4, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Captain Bharat Bhardwaj, a young army officer, had just completed his Army Aviation training. After the completion of the training, with the intention of making his private world beautiful, he proposed marriage to his fiancé Aarushi after the training ceremony was over, sitting on his knees near an army helicopter in Nashik, Maharashtra. Now problems may increase because of these pictures of Captain Bharat. Bharat and Aarushi, who were looking beautiful in the picture, had to face trolling on social media. Bharat is now accused of breaking army rules and protocols. His senior officers are investigating this matter.

Videos and pictures of the event showed Bhardwaj taking Aarushi to a helicopter towards the venue of the event. After this he got down on one knee and gave Aarushi a ring. This proposal took place after the ‘passing out parade’ and convocation ceremony, which was to mark the completion of his aviation training.

Family members were also present at the time of proposal

While family members, fellow officers and guests were watching, Aarushi accepted Bharat’s proposal. Due to this, the people present there encouraged him with applause and cheers. Both of them hugged each other in front of the helicopter. Videos of this heart-touching moment are going viral on all social media platforms.

According to defense sources, the young army officer violated several rules and regulations of the service, due to which his superiors sought an explanation from him. Sources said the Army appreciates the officer’s intention to propose to his girlfriend, but believes the time and place were inappropriate for this sentiment. He also said that the Army has strict guidelines against the use of military equipment and assets for private social media content.

Although no formal action has been taken against the officer as he has not committed any serious crime, his seniors have been asked to sensitize Bharat about the service rules governing officer-like conduct and professional responsibilities.
