
An important meeting of saints was held on Thursday regarding the theft of Ram temple offerings. More than 100 saints of Ayodhya participated in this meeting held at Maniram Das Cantonment in Ayodhya. Apart from this, many officials associated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and RSS also attended the meeting. However, in the meeting, only the saints were kept on the front and arrangements were made for the saints to sit in round table formation, while the leaders of Sangh and VHP remained present in the hall. This meeting of saints was named Sant Mandal Seminar, which was presided over by Mahant Kamal Nayan Das.
Saints supported the action against the culprits in the offering theft case. Sant Samaj said that action should be taken against whoever is found guilty in the investigation, but it is wrong to question the entire Sant Samaj and Ram Mandir Trust. He accused anti-Ram and anti-Sanatan forces of spoiling the atmosphere. Mahant Vaidehi Ballabh Sharan said that the Yogi government has conducted an impartial investigation into this matter. The saints allege that anti-Ram Temple forces are now spreading confusion over the theft of offerings. Sant Samaj said that Lord Shri Ram stands firmly with the devotees of Ram and the construction of the temple.
Champat Rai declared innocent
Mahant Vaidehi Ballabh Sharan has declared Champat Rai, who was the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, innocent. He said let the SIT report come. At the same time, Mahant Manish Das said that those who committed theft are being punished. He also alleged that those targeting Ram temple are now spoiling the atmosphere.
Appeal to avoid rumors till investigation is completed
Mahant Ramdas of Naka Hanumangarhi has appealed to exercise restraint and avoid rumors till the investigation is completed. He said that the matter is in the cognizance of the court and the investigating agencies, there should not be any undue publicity before the investigation is completed. At the same time, Mahant Ramdas said that the Ram Mandir movement is the result of 500 years of struggle and sacrifice of saints, it is wrong to question the reputation of the entire saint community and Ram Mandir on the basis of one incident. The saints appealed to give the investigating agencies a chance for a fair investigation and said that allegations and counter-allegations before investigation would create confusion.
‘Champat Rai’s resignation was taken under pressure’
Mahant Ramdas has also supported Champat Rai. He said that Champat Rai resigned on moral grounds, he cannot be held guilty. At the same time, Dr. Raghavesh Das Vedanti claimed that Champat Rai’s resignation was taken under pressure. He has demanded withdrawal of Champat Rai’s resignation and his reinstatement in the Ram Mandir Trust. He said that there should be no politics on the offering theft case, action is already underway against those who are guilty.
