Delhi High Court has appointed a special court to hear criminal cases related to examination paper leak. This court will hear criminal cases related to paper leak and use of unfair means in government examinations. This step has been taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement in which he had said that fast-track courts will be created to dispose of paper leak cases quickly.
In a notification, the high court administration said the court of judicial officer Anu Grover Baliga will function as a ‘specially designated fast-track court’. This court will hear crimes under the ‘Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024’ and other related offenses with immediate effect.
The interest of the country’s youth is the government’s priority.
This special court will function from Rouse Avenue Court Complex. Earlier, amid continued protests by students over the NEET paper leak, PM Modi said that the welfare and interest of the country’s youth is the government’s biggest priority, and anyone who tries to harm their future will not be spared.
Decision to create fast-track court
PM Modi said that the government has decided to create a fast-track court to give quick and stringent punishment to those involved in the paper leak. The PM said that he has directed the concerned officials to take all necessary steps on the issue of paper leak.
