Union Minister G. on the ongoing protests in Delhi regarding the paper leak issue. Kishan Reddy’s statement has come to light. He has also targeted the opposition. He said that the incidents that took place in different parts of the country in the last two days are bad. The ongoing protests are politically motivated, with anti-national elements allegedly using students as shields to spread unrest, as was seen during the Shaheen Bagh protests.
He said that immediately after the issue of NEET paper leak came to light, the Central Government took action and 17 accused were arrested and sent to jail. The exam papers were sent by military aircraft and the NEET exam was again conducted safely and smoothly. He said that some teachers, who were entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the examination, broke that trust by leaking question papers through corruption and personal greed, but the students who took the exam again expressed happiness over the conduct of the examination. He said that any paper leak definitely causes problems to students, candidates and their parents.
Congress is using students
Through the press conference, the Union Minister accused the opposition and said that the government has created a strict legal framework to give strict punishment to those responsible for the examination paper leak, but instead of working responsibly, the Congress and Left parties are using students for political survival and spreading disturbances.
He said that forgetting its responsibility as a national party, Congress is trying to weaken the institutions of the country by provoking students and disturbing law and order. Those people who never resigned despite many papers being leaked during their time, are now demanding the resignation of the BJP government. Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy have no moral right to demand such resignations.
How many Congress ministers resigned?
Taking aim at Kishan Reddy, he said that Congress should first tell how many exam papers were leaked during its rule and how many ministers resigned then. The opposition is more interested in politics and power than saving the future of students or protecting the interests of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already made it clear that those involved in the paper leak will get strict punishment through fast-track courts. By making changes in the Public Examination Act, the government has made rules for strict punishment against those responsible for exam paper leak. Instead of giving good suggestions to strengthen the exam system, Congress is behaving irresponsibly.
Paper leaked in Kerala even during Left government
He said that the BJP government adopts a policy of zero tolerance in case of exam paper leak. Similar incidents happened during the Left government in Kerala and during the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal. The opposition cannot adopt different standards depending on which party is in power. The government did not conduct the NEET exam again because there was no political pressure in it, but so that the students did not face any problems and their future was secure.
Accusing Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, he said that Revanth Reddy should first explain why he did not resign when the Class 10 exam paper was leaked in 2025, when he was the education minister of the state. The teachers were simply suspended without any strict action. Only after answering this can he question BJP on NEET issue.
BJP government ready for any good reform
The Union Minister claimed that papers have been leaked during the Congress and opposition governments in many states including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab and West Bengal. Yet Congress and its allies never protested in those states. Similarly, when intermediate students committed suicide during BRS rule in Telangana, where were these leaders? He said that the BJP government is ready for any good reform which will strengthen the examination system and protect the interests of the students. The opposition should participate in parliamentary discussions and give good suggestions instead of doing political drama.
