This is the reason why a video is being discussed a lot on social media these days, in which a 26-year-old professional openly says that he wants to leave India and settle abroad. Hearing his words, a new debate has started among people on the internet.
This video is part of a conversation with personal finance coach Anshuman Sharma. In the video he gets a call. The young man on the other side tells his name is Daniel. At the beginning of the conversation he gives information about his earnings. Daniel says that his monthly income is 3,700 US dollars, which is four lakh rupees in Indian currency. Despite earning well, he is confused as to how to utilize his savings properly. For this reason he decided to seek financial advice.
What is the ultimate purpose?
Further in the conversation, Daniel shared his future plans and said that his dream is to go and settle in Australia. For this he wants to obtain permanent residency there i.e. PR. He says that at present he is saving money keeping this target in mind so that he does not face any financial problem at the time of application.
Daniel tells that about Rs 1.2 lakh is spent on his total needs every month. He saves the remaining amount. His intention is to apply for PR in Australia by the end of this year. Therefore, he wants to know how to manage his savings in the next few months so that he can easily get that much money when needed.
After listening to Daniel, Anshuman Sharma gives him a practical advice. He says that if a recurring deposit of around Rs 1.5 lakh is started every month for the next seven months, then the money will be ready with him at the time of application. He believes that in this way the money will be safe and a good amount will also be collected at the stipulated time, which can be used in the PR process. The conversation does not end here. Anshuman Sharma asks a question to Daniel, which made the entire video a topic of discussion. He wants to know why despite having such a good job and income, he wants to leave India and go abroad.
Why does India want to leave?
In response to this question, Daniel puts forward his views without any hesitation. He says that in his view there is less hope for the future in India. According to him, if given a chance, instead of living here, he would prefer to settle in some other country where he can get a better life and a more stable environment. His statement quickly went viral on social media and people started giving different opinions on it.
After listening to Daniel, Anshuman Sharma also mentions the thinking of his generation. He says that today many youth are seriously thinking about going abroad. In his view, there is not just one reason behind this, but there are many such issues which bother people. Giving an example, he says that the prices of everyday items are continuously increasing.
After the video surfaced, the debate on the internet became more intense. Some people agreed with Daniel’s words. On the other hand, many people also said that new opportunities are constantly being created in India and it would not be right to question the future of the entire country just by looking at the challenges.
