He is a resident of Haveli district of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and is the son of Mohammad Yakub Khan. Soldiers arrested him after he entered Balakot sector on Sunday. According to officials, no objectionable thing was found from him during the initial search.

Currently, several security and intelligence agencies are interrogating him to find out what was his motive and whether he crossed the border by mistake or intentionally. This is the second case of this week. On Friday, another infiltrator from PoK was arrested from Gulpur area of Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch. His name is Mohammad Sajjad and his age is 26 years.

A 31-year-old Pakistani national, Rayees Khan, son of Bazia Jada Khan and a resident of Rajal Pakthun, Pakistan, was apprehended by the Indian Army after allegedly crossing the Line of Control (LoC) into Indian territory in the Balakote sector of Mendhar subdivision in Poonch. pic.twitter.com/SYOjrQjmt0

After crossing the LoC, the soldiers stopped him and later handed him over to the police for further investigation. Earlier, on June 9, a 14-year-old boy named Javed Ali was detained. Then after a week he was sent back to Pakistan.

Due to strict monitoring, it was possible to stop them.

The continuous incidents of people being caught from PoK in Balakot and Gulpur areas near LoC in Poonch sector have alerted the security agencies. Initial investigation has revealed that these people may have crossed the border unknowingly, but all possibilities like espionage or trying to test the weaknesses of the LoC are being investigated.

A senior security force official said that due to strict surveillance on the LoC, it has been possible to immediately detect and stop people in these cases, thereby preventing any possible breach in security.
