Five months after the war with Iran, the report from Washington regarding weapons has increased the tension in the Pentagon. On the basis of this report, it is being said that America found it difficult to wage war with Iran. The report claims that for the first time the number of Patriot interceptor missiles in America has fallen below 1000. Similarly, the number of THAAD interceptor missiles has reduced to less than 300. Both of these are considered very important for America’s security.
cnn According to the report, 2 days ago the Center for Strategic and International Studies had released a report regarding American weapons, which has been justified by Pentagon officials.
What is there in this report?
In February, America had 452 THAAD interceptor missiles, which has now reduced to 234. In April their number was more than 260. Similarly, the number of Patriot interceptor missiles was earlier 2,330, which has now reduced to around 850. The number of Patriot interceptor missiles in April was more than 1,000.
The number of Tomahawk missiles has also decreased tremendously. There has also been a decline in the number of missiles named SM-3 and SM-6. According to many reports of American media, America had recently postponed the attack on Iran due to lack of weapons.
However, President Donald Trump rejected these reports. Trump said that we want peace. We still have many dangerous weapons.
All the weapons for ground operations are still left with the Pentagon. Similarly, America also has dangerous weapons like nuclear weapons. America had sent 2000 B-2 bombs towards the Gulf to attack Tehran, which were not used.
Pentagon ordered weapons
Here, the Pentagon has given an order of weapons worth $58 billion to Lockheed Martin Company. America will get weapons under this order in 2031. America has placed this order for Patriot interceptor missiles. The Pentagon has asked for additional funds from the US Congress to buy more weapons.
On the other hand, Iran has around 1500 ballistic missiles. Iran also has more than 35 thousand Shahed drones, which have proven to be very dangerous in war.
Iran is destroying American bases in the Middle East. Till now it has got great success in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan and UAE.
