According to the report, America fired missiles from Bahrain base and destroyed 12 targets. There have been several blasts in Chabahar, Bushehr, Bandar Abbas and Sirik. America has attacked seven cities of Iran. America had given Iran an ultimatum of 24 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz. After the end of the ultimatum, America has attacked Iran.
Earlier, the Cyprus-flagged container ship M/V GFS Galaxy was attacked by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). After this America carried out air strikes on it. American Central Command CENTCOM gave this information on social media platform X. The US military says Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked the Cyprus-flagged container ship M/V GFS Galaxy passing through the Strait of Hormuz. In response to this attack, the US Army carried out air strikes on Iranian targets.
One civilian from the ship missing in the attack
According to CENTCOM, the IRGC attacked the Cypriot ship M/V GFS Galaxy passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The ship caught fire in the attack and the engine room was badly damaged. Because of this the ship could not go ahead. A civilian crew member of the ship is said to be missing in the attack. CENTCOM wrote on social media platform
‘Will have to pay a heavy price’
CENTCOM further said that Iran had been held accountable for previous attacks on commercial ships and was given the opportunity to comply with the agreement. But Iran failed again. “In response, the United States is forcing Iran to pay a heavy price by continuously reducing its ability to attack civilian sailors and commercial ships passing freely through the strait,” the statement said. These attacks are being carried out on the instructions of the Commander in Chief. US War Secretary Pete Hegseth, replying to CENTCOM’s post, wrote, ‘Iran made a wrong decision. Now they will have to pay the price for this.

Iran’s counterattack
Just hours before the US attacks, the IRGC had announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz until further orders. IRGC said that until America stops interfering in West Asia, no ship will be able to pass through this strategic waterway.
According to the statement of IRGC, this decision has been taken due to the illegal interference of foreign powers. IRGC warned that if Iran is attacked again using this bandh as an excuse, a befitting reply will be given and more enemy targets in the region will be targeted. The IRGC placed full responsibility for any outcome on the US, Israel and the regional countries where US military bases are located.
Diplomatic efforts also continue
Diplomatic efforts are also continuing amid the military confrontation. Qatar’s representatives have reached Iran with the aim of reducing tensions and restarting talks between America and Iran. On Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met Oman’s Foreign Minister Seyed Badr Albusaidi in Muscat.
Araghchi said on his official Telegram channel that the two discussed bilateral relations and regional developments. According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the two countries also talked about the mechanism to ensure safe movement of ships under Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. Oman reiterated its support for diplomacy to reduce the conflict.
