What happens after the conclusion of Ambubachi fair?

The first darshan after the Ambubachi fair ends and the doors of the temple reopen are considered very auspicious. It is believed that the devotees who visit first get the special blessings of Mother Kamakhya. After the conclusion of the fair, some special functions are carried out. During this time, Mother Kamakhya is bathed. Daily yagyas, havans and pujas begin again. Fresh fruits, sweets and special offerings are offered to the Goddess. Holy Angodak is given to the devotees.

After the opening of the temple, now sacred Angodaka and Angavastra (Angabastra) will also be distributed to the devotees, which are considered extremely auspicious and revered. This Angodak is given as Prasad to the devotees at the conclusion of the Ambubachi fair.

Kamakhya Devi Temple is the main center of Shakti worship.

This temple is said to be the main center of Shakti worship. There is no idol of the goddess here, rather a natural rock is worshipped, which is called Yonikund and from which water keeps flowing.
