After the Khan Global Coaching and Gyan Bindu Coaching Institute controversy, Bihar government has indicated to take a big decision regarding coaching institutes. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has announced that the coaching institutes operating within Patna city will be established outside the city in a phased manner.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary Said that the government is working on creating an organized zone, where the coaching institutes running in the crowded areas of Patna can be shifted to another place.
Officials said the initiative is part of a larger urban planning effort to improve unregulated clusters of educational institutions and promote planned development.
Bihar government’s decision after Khan Sir controversy
Background of the recent coaching institute controversy The announcement comes amid the ongoing tension between prominent coaching operators in Patna, including Khan sir and Roshan Anand, whose dispute has repeatedly attracted public and legal attention.
On June 4, an incident of vandalism was reported at Khan Global Studies, following which Roshan Anand was arrested and later sent to judicial custody. Subsequent developments included allegations and counter-allegations, police action and court proceedings related to the dispute.
Additionally, a video going viral on social media sparked further controversy, with allegations involving security personnel and claims being exchanged between the parties. Although the court later gave some legal relief, this matter still remains a topic of discussion among the people.
Government’s plan to build coaching hub
Major urban development measures Along with the proposal for the coaching hub, the Chief Minister also talked about other urban development measures for Patna. He said that the government is planning to set up a modern vegetable market in every ward, so that essential commodities like milk, vegetables and fish can be brought under a single system so that access and management can be improved.
Officials have also been directed to ensure repairs to roads and drainage systems before the monsoon season, and to avoid starting new excavation projects during the months of heavy rainfall.
Focus on river cleaning and infrastructure planning The state government reiterated its focus on environmental measures, especially the cleaning of river Ganga. People have been asked to connect their houses to the sewerage network so that dirty water can be treated through sewage treatment plants before discharge.
New township will be built on 66000 acres of land
The Chief Minister also mentioned a big urban expansion plan, which includes building a new township on 66,000 acres. On the urban development side, officials said the aim of these efforts together is to reduce the unplanned urban pressure on Patna and to promote a more structured model of development across Bihar.
The proposed coaching hub, along with township expansion and market reforms, is being built as part of a long-term strategy to transform urban centers into more organized and sustainable cities.
