Mammootty and R Madhavan were also honored
This is the second time this year that the President has Padma Award Were distributed. On May 25 also, many winners were honored with Padma awards. Today, June 23, Malayalam film superstar Mammootty was honored with Padma Vibhushan. Mammootty had reached the function with his family. Mammootty’s son and actor Dulquer Salmaan, Mammootty’s wife Sulfat and his daughter Surumi were also present there to witness this special moment.

R Madhavan’s name was also included among this year’s winners. He was awarded the country’s fourth highest civilian award i.e. Padma Shri. Before receiving the award, Madhavan met PM Narendra Modi and also talked for a few moments. Amidst applause, the ‘Dhurandhar’ actor was awarded the award by President Draupadi Murmu.
‘Deafness’ happened suddenly two years ago
In June 2024, Alka Yagnik had told that she had lost her hearing. She cannot hear anything. She had told that due to the viral attack she is not able to get anything now. He had shared information about his disease with everyone through Instagram. She had said that while getting off the plane she suddenly realized that she could not hear anything. She had told that she is unable to hear due to ‘sensory neural hearing loss’.
Alka’s career
Alka Yagnik, born on 20 March 1966 in Kolkata, sang songs in more than 25 languages in her career. During this period, he lent his voice to more than 22 thousand songs in 1100 films. Has also been honored with 2 National Awards and 7 Filmfare Awards. Alka started singing songs at the age of 6.
