Akshay Kumar Priyadarshan New Movie: Bollywood’s most hit actor-director duo Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are ready to create a blast with new projects one after the other. Till now both of them have done 7 films together and they have 2 films in the pipeline, one of which is ‘Haivaan’. Apart from ‘Haivaan’, there is also the 9th untitled film of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, which is being discussed for a long time. Now a big update has come out regarding this project. It is reported that the title of Akshay-Priyadarshan’s new film ‘Wicked Sunny’ has been finalised.
Last year it was reported that after ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and ‘Haivaan’ Akshay Kumar And Priyadarshan will work together for another film. Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films will produce this project. From then till now no specific update had come out on it. But now the biggest update has been received regarding this project. If reports are to be believed, the makers have finalized the name of this upcoming project which is ‘Weaked Sunny’.
Akshay-Priyadarshan’s film got the title
In a report by Bollywood Hungama, quoting a source, it was said that the title of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar’s new film has been kept as ‘Wicked Sunny’. The makers believe that this title matches perfectly with the genre of the film and its lead character. Apart from this, there is also a 22 year old connection behind ‘Wicked Sunny’. This was the same theme music that was played during Akshay Kumar’s scenes in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ (2004). Even after 22 years of the film’s release, this theme is quite popular among the audience. In such a situation, the audience will easily be able to relate to Akshay Kumar’s character with this theme.

Akshay’s avatar in Wicked Sunny?
In the same report, it was further told that Akshay Kumar will be seen in a different comic style in the film ‘Wicked Sunny’. This style will be completely different from the characters he played in recent comedy films like ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Fans will enjoy seeing Akshay in a completely fun-filled manner. Also, the title of the film will further increase the hype created for it.
‘Wicked Sunny’ is a comic thriller film, written by Priyadarshan in collaboration with Rohan Shankar. Both of them had also worked together for ‘Bhoot Bangla’. It is being told that the shooting of this film is expected to start in December this year. Tips will produce this film.
Akshay-Priyadarshan’s hit pair
Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan have worked together in 7 films so far – Hera Pheri (2000), Garam Masala (2005), Bhagam Bhag (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), De Dana Dan (2009), Khatta Meetha (2010) and Bhoot Bangla. ‘Haivaan’ will be their eighth film together, while ‘Wicked Sunny’ will be their ninth film. The film ‘Haivaan’ with Saif Ali Khan will be released in theaters on 11 September 2026.
