In the last few years, as much as he focused on action films, he also focused on horror comedy and comedy films. But when the actor started his career, he was doing only action films for the first 10 years, with which he was not happy. Recently, while talking to PTI, Akshay Kumar told which was the biggest transformative phase for his career.
Why did Akshay want to slap himself?
Akshay was asked in an interview what he considers to be the most transformative phase of his career. So the actor said – “The first 10 years of my career were spent only as an action hero. Earlier, when I came into the industry, I just came to earn money. But after those 10 years, when I saw my own films, which I did in 10 years, I felt like slapping myself, because I only did action roles. And no one else considered me worthy of anything. After that, I understood that I myself It should be transformed and I had to do different types of characters.”
It is further said that- “After that, there was ‘Hera Pheri’, there was ‘Dhadkan’, after that there was ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Toilet’, ‘Padman’, there are many such films. So that is transformation. I transformed the whole time. I want to dismantle myself. Once I build myself, I want to break it, then build a new building. I want to give myself to re-development.”
When did Akshay’s career start?
Akshay Kumar’s first film was released in 1987, which was named ‘Aaj’. However, the first film in the lead role was ‘Saugandh’, which was released in 1991. But the actor gained real recognition only from the 1992 hit film ‘Khiladi’.
