While talking to India TV in an old interview, when the actor was asked why he does not talk about his donations and charity, the actor gave a funny answer.
What did Akshay say on the question of charity?
The actor was asked – ‘In the last 7 years, you have donated more than Rs 76 crore for cancer victims and donated crores of rupees for education and flood relief. But why was no one ever allowed to know about this? Answering the question, Akshay said, ‘How should I speak from my own mouth? If I start praising myself that I have given so much money or that I am doing all this, then how foolish I will look.
‘I am the person who pays the highest tax’
The actor further said- ‘I have got a chance to serve the people, it is my good fortune.’ Is the actor a money minded person? In response to this question, Akshay said – ‘If you have earned money, then you did not earn it by looting. I have earned it by working. I have been the highest tax paying celeb for 8 years. So is this proof of being money minded? Money is an important part of life and has to be practical.
