Brajesh Pathak termed the Aliganj fire incident as an example of corruption during the time of Akhilesh government. He said that everything from plot allotment to construction of illegal buildings was done during his government.

The building was constructed during the Akhilesh government
After the Lucknow fire, questions are now being raised on the permission given for the construction of that building and the role of the responsible officials. It is alleged that during the tenure of Akhilesh Yadav government, many decisions were taken regarding this building, due to which illegal construction was encouraged.
It is being told that this building was allotted through lottery in 1980, but in the year 2014, during the then government, the residential plan of 1992 square feet was approved. After this, a case was registered in 2016 regarding illegal construction and demolition order was issued on 10 May 2016. However, this order was canceled after two months on 5 July 2016. Now the question is arising as to why the decision of demolition was withdrawn.
Question on following rules in construction process
On the basis of satellite images, it is being claimed that the plot was vacant in December 2015, while construction started in February 2016 and the building was ready by June 2016. Due to this, questions are being raised regarding the construction process and following the rules.
The opposition is alleging that at that time no effective action was taken against illegal construction and responsibility was not fixed. At the same time, after this accident, investigation is being done into administrative negligence and violation of building construction rules.
