JioStar, a media and streaming venture backed by Reliance Industries and Disney, is now preparing to increase AI-generated content on the JioHotstar platform on a large scale. After the success of AI-made show Mahabharata: Ek Dharam Yudh, the company has taken this big decision. After the success of this project, the company now aims to create a large portfolio of AI entertainment projects, which include TV shows, films and short dramas. People are liking AI content, this will help the company in creating more content for the audience, and it can also reduce production costs.
The makers of JioStar plan to create AI generated programs, which includes writing, animation, voice generation, editing and post-production. The company also plans to enhance its AI capabilities by hiring around 80 AI engineers and experts.
Work is going on on AI Projects
The success of Mahabharata: Ek Dharam Yudh proved that AI generated content is quite popular among the people. According to Bloomberg’s report, the show has been viewed more than double the platform’s average in the first day. Sources who spoke to Bloomberg said that JioStar is currently working on many projects related to AI. The new project is on Hanuman, the revered monkey god from the Ramayana, one of the important epics of Hinduism.
Earlier this year, JioStar appointed veteran American screenwriter and producer Stephen Bugaj as head of generative AI content strategy. His team is currently looking for talent and is increasing efforts to create more content in the field of AI.
