Congress has asked five big questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the foreign policy of the central government and the growing trade relations with America. Party US Secretary of State marco rubio Citing the recent statement of the US, he said that the Modi government has committed to buy goods worth $500 billion from America in the next five years, focusing on energy, technology and agriculture sectors.

  1. Congress said that by the financial year 2026, India’s annual import is 52.9 billion dollars. In such a situation, Marco Rubio’s statement means that India will have to almost double its imports from America. Calling it worrying, the party has sought answers from the central government.
  2. In a statement issued by the Congress, it was said that after the Trump Tariff was canceled by the US Supreme Court, countries like Malaysia have canceled their trade agreements with America. 3. Congress also raised the question that when the Prime Minister himself had appealed to reduce domestic fuel consumption and foreign trips to save foreign exchange, then why was consent given to increase record imports from America? The party said that in the last 12 months, the Indian rupee has weakened by 12 percent against the dollar and in such a situation, increasing imports from America may put further pressure on the rupee.
  4. Referring to the case related to Gautam, the party alleged that questions are also being raised on the relationship between the Trump administration’s dropping of alleged bribery charges in the solar energy scam and the India-US trade agreement. Congress said that it seems that the Prime Minister is ready to go to any extent to benefit his close industrialist friends.
  5. Congress also targeted the foreign policy of the central government and said that important information like ceasefire of Operation Sindoor, Russian oil-gas import and India-US trade agreement is coming out from Washington DC instead of New Delhi. The party asked why the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister are not fulfilling the responsibility of presenting India’s sovereign foreign policy to the country and the world?

Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak also attacked the government and said that the government is avoiding giving answers on issues like ships stuck in the Strait of Hormuz, the situation of oil supply in the country and increasing debt.
