Condolence meeting will be held on July 7
Ayatollah Khamenei was like a hero for millions of people. For this reason, there were floods of tears during his last farewell. His mortal remains will be kept in Tehran for the last glimpse from 4th to 6th July. People will be able to have the last darshan at Mosalla, from where the last journey was taken out via Hussain Square to Azadi Square. After this, his coffin will be taken to the religious city of Qum, 150 km from Tehran, where a condolence meeting is scheduled on July 7.
The coffin will be taken by air to Iraq, 600 km away from Qum, where a memorial service will be held at the Islamic religious site of Najaf-Karbala on July 8. After this, Ali Khamenei will be laid to rest on July 9 at the Imam Reza Dargah in Mashhad city of Iran, 950 km away.
