After the blast on Karachi Sindh Rangers camp, Pak Army’s praise, blames India without evidence

June 28, 2026 by Uma Shankar

After the terrorist attack on a camp of Sindh Rangers in Karachi city of Pakistan, ISPR, the media wing of Pakistan Army, has held India responsible for this attack. However, there has been no official response from India on this allegation yet. According to ISPR, on the night of June 27, an explosion was carried out at the main gate of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) camp located in Karachi.

After this the attackers tried to break the security cordon of the camp, but the security forces retaliated and killed three attackers and arrested one injured attacker. Pakistani Army claims that the arrested attacker is an Afghan citizen. Three Pakistani soldiers were killed during the encounter, while four others were injured.

Pak Army again chanted ‘Bharat Raga’

ISPR said in its statement that the attackers were associated with the banned organization Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, which Pakistan has described as an ‘Indian-backed organization’. Pakistan has said that retaliatory action will be taken against those responsible for this attack.

Jamaat-ul-Ahrar is considered a splinter group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has been responsible for major bomb blasts in Lahore and other cities in the past. The leadership of the organization is believed to be in the hands of Omar Khorasani. After the attack, there is a possibility of increase in air and drone operations on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Fear of increasing tension on LoC

Besides, there is a fear of increasing activities on the Line of Control (LoC). However, some analysts in Pakistan are also calling this attack a ‘false flag operation’, but this claim has not been independently confirmed. Pakistan’s Army Chief and military leadership have expressed condolences to the families of the killed soldiers and reiterated their resolve to continue the campaign against terrorism in the country.
