
After the long-running protests in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK), now Balochistan also seems to be in the grip of unrest once again. Tension is continuously increasing between protesters and Pakistani security forces in various areas of Balochistan. According to reports, Pakistani Rangers and other security forces used force at many places to stop the protests.
There have also been reports of a large number of protesters being detained and arrested. These protesters took to the streets to protest against alleged human rights violations, enforced disappearances and action by security forces. Clashes also took place between protesters and security forces at many places. Local sources and human rights activists allege that after this the security forces opened fire on the protesters and started a large-scale crackdown to suppress the protests.

Human rights organizations say that a large number of people are being detained and strictness against the protesters is being continuously increased. However, there has been no official response from the Pakistan government or security agencies on these allegations. All these claims have not even been confirmed.
The increasing protests in Balochistan have created a new challenge for Pakistan. Amidst the ongoing discontent in PoK, the situation in Balochistan also remains tense, which is being monitored by many human rights organizations in the country and abroad.

Baloch activists gathered in Germany’s Bremen city to protest against the worsening human rights crisis in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. He accused Pakistani authorities of forced disappearances, custodial killings and mass punishment. In this demonstration organized by Baloch National Movement (BNM), there was a demand for intervention from the international community and human rights organizations. Protesters cited army raids in Gwadar district and new allegations of ill-treatment of civilians.
Addressing the gathering, BNM speakers alleged that Pakistani authorities were carrying out mass punishment actions against the people of Balochistan. He claimed that enforced disappearances and custodial killings have become common, with homes being demolished and families being forcibly displaced.
